The filing system consists, as a basic embodiment for the filing of documents in files, of the binding clasp 1, consisting of the clasp yoke 2 with the directly bent-on eyelets 3 and 4 and the developments 5 and 6 which are of flat shape at their ends and are bent around at an angle of 90@ to the clasp yoke 2 and have holes 9, 10 and 11, 12 to receive the clasp wire 13, these holes serving to receive the clasp wire 13 by which the documents are fixed to the clasp yoke 2, and of the clasp wire 13, which is releasably fixed in the clasp yoke 2. For storage in hanging files, the hanging rail 26 is received on the clasp yoke 2 with positive and non-positive fitting, this being of hook-shaped design 33, 32 at the ends and having a slidable rider 27. <IMAGE>
