PURPOSE:To reduce the magnetic saturation of a claw pole by forming in the sectional shapes a base and an intermediate portion of the pole in the specific shapes. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of claw poles 9 are integrally provided at the prescribed interval on the circumferential periphery of rotor cores 2a, 2b, and engaged oppositely in space with the poles 9 of both cores 2a, 2b. When the cores 2a, 2b rotate together with a shaft, an alternating current is generated at the output coil of a stator. In this case, the hatched part of the drawing show the sections A-E of the rotor core 2, and F indicates the end. As shown, the section A of the claw base is substantially square shape, the end F has an isosceles triangular shape, and the portions between the sections A-E and the end F are continuously varying trapezoidal shape. Thus, the variation in the section of the core 2 becomes continuous to reduce magnetic resistance and to reduce the magnetic saturation. |
