AGENT AND PROCESS FOR OXIDIZING DYEING OF HAIR

Agent and process for oxidizing dyeing of hair, based on a combination of a coupler and developers, whereby the coupler used is a) 5-amino-2-methyl-phenol and the developers used are b) 4-amino-3-methyl-phenol and c) 1,4-diamino-benzene and/or 2,5-diamino-toluene, also in the form of the physiologically compatible salts. The new agent produces neutral red tints which are free of yellow and almost free of blue. In addition to providing a high tinting intensity and brilliance, they exhibit excellent tinting uniformity coupled with very good absorption characteristics.
