<p>A machine for contact butt welding of pipes intended to be placed inside the pipes to be welded comprises a first and a second supporting disks (3 and 4) rigidly mounted on its frame (2), a mechanism (5) for partially melting and bringing together the pipes provided with a ring (7) and with a hydraulic drive (6) for its displacement along the frame (2) and two mechanisms (9, 10) for gripping the pipes to be welded provided with rings (12 and 13) and with individual hydraulic drives (11) for their displacement along the axis of the frame. On the external surface of each ring (12, 13) of the mechanisms (9, 10) for gripping the pipes to be welded double-arm levers (24), spaced evenly along the periphery of the rings (12, 13), are mounted on axles, with the possibility of swinging in radial directions so that each double-arm lever (24) has the possibility of interacting, by one side (26) of its free end, with rigid stops (27, 31) placed on the supporting disk (3) and on the ring (7) on the side of the mechanisms (9, 10) for gripping the pipes to be welded, and by the opposite side - with a spring-loaded stop (29) arranged in the ring (12, 13) of each mechanism (9, 10) for gripping the pipes, whereas the second end of each of the double-arm levers (24) is provided with a centering roller (24) interacting with the internal surface of the pipes (1).</p> |
