PURPOSE:To recognize a selected channel number and to facilitate the handling by selecting and setting a desired number from plural channel numbers by external operation and displaying the set channel number on a picture display screen. CONSTITUTION:A sub code data R-W detected by a disk 11 is fed to a microprocessor 24 via an error correction circuit 23 and a picture data component and an instruction data component in the data are fed to a memory control circuit 28. The circuit 28 writes a picture data in a picture memory 29 in response to the content of the instruction data component, reads the storage data and displays a picture on a CRT display device 32. In selecting and setting a desired channel number by a key switch group 27, the processor 24 displays the number on the CRT32 and makes only a picture drawing command added by the channel number selected and set effective. Thus, the desired channel number is displayed with ease of recognition and the handling is facilitated.
