The invention relates to an electromechanical, electronic measurement process for consumption-proportional breakdown of the heating costs for dwellings occupied by more than one family. Only the initial temperature prevailing at the valve and the possible amount flowing through as a function of the valve position are required to measure the fractional consumption. Both of these measured values are coupled from a digital-analog operating arithmetic unit and entered into the integrated storage after variable time intervals.
