The invention relates to a motor vehicle transmission, which is driven by an engine by way of a clutch. A reverse lock is incorporated in the transmission, which locks in the event of a direction of rotation opposite to the direction of rotation of the engine. Such an incorrect direction of rotation can occur with the clutch opened if, with a forwards gear selected, the vehicle rolls back due to the gravitational force component. As reverse lock a freewheel element is provided, which on the one hand is positively connected to the transmission housing and on the other to the transmission input shaft. The connection to the transmission shaft can also be made controllable by means of a claw clutch. This claw clutch can be operated separately or in connection with one or more gears.
