PURPOSE:To produce a preferable signal voltage from a mechanical/electrical converter by polarizing an electrode layer except the wiring side periphery with leads to prevent a voltage from generating due to a load at the connecting portions of the leads. CONSTITUTION:A core electrode 3 is exposed from the end of a mechanical- electrical transducer 1 to be connected with leads 7, a conductive tube 10 is externally engaged between the transducer 1 and the leads 6 to electrically connect an electrode layer 5 with a conductive woven set 9 by the tube 10. In this structure, a piezoelectric layer 2 is nonpolarized at the periphery of the connecting side with the leads 6 and the other portion is polarized radially. To nonpolarize the connecting side periphery, a piezoelectric layer 2a polarized at one end side from the layer 2 is disposed, and a nonpolarized piezoelectric layer 2b is disposed at the connecting side. Thus, even if a load occurs at the connecting portion due to the tension of the leads, it is not converted to a voltage, but obtains a preferable output signal.
