Sound-insulated station building

Motor units (16-18, 41-45) for generating power and/or heat are extremely noise-intensive. Station buildings in which they are set up therefore require special sound insulation, in particular the supply-air and discharge-air guides. The known station buildings of this type either cannot be developed in a simple manner or are extremely costly with regard to their sound insulation. The object of the invention is therefore to configure a station building of this type such that, if required, it can be developed with simple means and, nevertheless, remains cost-effective to provide with sound insulation. This is achieved in that the station building, assembled from three-dimensional elements (11-14b), exhibits, in its interior, a unitised unit (15) which has sound-insulating walls (19) and contains a switch room and in each case one chamber (25, 26), lined with sound-damping screens (29), for air supply into the interior and discharge of air out of the interior, and in that access to the interior is possible only via the unitized unit. <IMAGE>
