PURPOSE:To draw the ruled lines without operating the same key continuously nor repetitively by using the information on the space values of vertical and horizontal ruled lines, the number of these lines and the start points of the lines respectively. CONSTITUTION:The ruled lines are drawn when a computer containing a document producing function is shifted to a table preparing mode as follows. That is, the start point information on the table preparation is first supplied and stored 7 by a start point deciding means. Then the information on the interval between adjacent vertical ruled lines is supplied by means of a numerical value input means, etc., and stored in the vertical ruled line information memory means 3 and 4. Then the information on the interval between adjacent horizontal ruled lines is supplied in the same way and stored in the horizontal ruled line memory means 5 and 6 respectively. When the input is through with those information, a start command means is operated and therefore the ruled lines are drawn by a table picture formation means based on each corresponding information. Thus a desired table is obtained.
