PURPOSE:To detect a fault of a component by connecting two output semiconductor elements in series to constitute an AND circuit thereby generating a fault output if either of them is an ON or OFF fault. CONSTITUTION:When the 1st and 2nd semiconductor elements X1,X2 are both normal, the simultaneous on/off is applied to control a controlled system and the 3rd,4th semiconductor elements are in the OFF state. If short-circuit fault takes place in the 1st semiconductor element X1 being one component, a fault detection semiconductor element Y2 is turned on by the fault current to generate a fault output. When the drive signal exists, if the 1st semiconductor element X1 is in open fault, the 3rd semiconductor element Y1 for fault detection is turned on to generate a fault output. Then a light emitting element AL is lighted when a fault output is generated. |
