<p>Device for checking the straightness and, required, the height and/or distortions in vessels made of transparent material, with a conveyor belt on which the vessels are placed and which carries the vessels through a light barrier to a test zone, in which is provided a light-beam arrangement which runs in a plane essentially parallel to that of the conveyor belt, surround a test surface having a predetermined geometry and co-operates with a detector system that produces output signals according to the result of the test. The light-beam arrangement is formed by a single light-beam (2) which is so reflected by mirrors (4), (5), (6) and (7) that it passes round the test surface (3), and whose edges, in the measurement position, do not touch the external boundaries of the vessel to be checked (22) provided that this vessel has a straight shape within a predetermined tolerance, but touch these boundaries if the vessel is out of line in relation to the predetermined tolerence, in which case the light beam when emerging from the test zone strikes a single detector (11).</p> |
