One edge of the intermediary walls presses tightly against a cover surface. The cover surfaces, vessel gables and intermediary walls (2,5) all define chambers, the volume of which dependsupon the shape of the cover surfaces and the positioning of the rotor. When the rotor (6) rotates, the volume of the chambers alters. Phases are obtained for the input and compression of air-fuel mixture, ignition and gas expansion, which transmits torque effort to the engine shaft, and the gases are swept outwards. - The engine components are formed so that a suitable compression ratio for the air-fuel mixture is obtained, and that the corresp. volume is pref. less than the space for the expansion gases. This creates an ideal situation for sealing, lubrication and cooling. |
