摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce mechanical loss, noise and vibration, and enable high-load machining, by transmitting the rotation of an apertured driving motor directly to a main spindle with a clutch closed upon high-speed rotation of the main spindle, while transmitting the rotation of the motor through a reduction gear mechanism to the main spindle upon high-torque rotation of the main spindle. CONSTITUTION:In the case of high-speed rotation, a sliding clutch 2 is moved in the direction of A to engage clutch claws 3 and 4 with each other, and gears 19 and 22 are moved in the directions of B and C to release the mesh with gears 5 and 12, respectively. Accordingly, the rotation of a rotating shaft 7 of an apertured driving motor 6 is directly transmitted from the gear 5 through the sliding clutch to a main spindle 29, thereby rotating the main spindle 29 at highs speeds. In the case of high- torque operation, the engagement of the clutch 2 with the gear 5 is released, and the gears 19 and 22 are meshed with the gears 5 and 12, respectively. As a result, the rotation of the motor is transmitted through the gears 5, 17, 18, 23, 24, 21 and 20 to the gear 12, thereby greatly reducing the rotational speed and transmitting a high torque to the main spindle 29. Accordingly, the mechanical loss, noise and vibration are reduced, and the selection of high-speed rotation and high-torque transmission may be effected.
