<p>PURPOSE:The titled freshness preservative having improved thickening properties, chelating properties, antibacterial properties and film-forming properties, comprising chitosan alone or it and an extracted solution of dried vegetable as main components. CONSTITUTION:A freshness preservative comprising chitosan alone or its and an extracted solution of dried vegetable as main components. In the case of chitosan alone, the concentration of the aqueous solution is 0.01-10wt%, preferably 0.5-2wt% and in the case of use of both chitosan and the dried vegetable, the extracted solution having 50-80wt% aqueous solution concentration is diluted with water by several hundreds times and used. Vegetables, fruits, fresh flowers or potted dwarfed trees are immersed in the freshness preservative or the freshness preservative is sprayed thereon.</p> |
