摘要 PURPOSE:To permit uniform packing and to substantially prevent the generation of microcracks, etc. at the time of curing by packing a specific reinforcing plastic having a photosetting property to the boundary part between a fixing part and flexible part of an optical fiber bundle and irradiating light for curing to the packed plastic, thereby forming a reinforced part. CONSTITUTION:A plastic having 500+ or -300cps viscosity, <=5% shrinkage or 500+ or -300cps viscosity, >=5% and <=15% shrinkage and <=45 JIS A hardness is used as the reinforcing plastic 4 of an elastomer type having the photosetting property in order to reinforce the boundary part between the fixing part 11 and the flexible part 12a. The impregnation to the boundary part 13 is thereby smoothly executed and the workability is remarkably improved; in addition, a hardened length (width) can be specified and the reinforced part which is uniform and is free from uneven curing is formed. The hardened length of the reinforced part can be specified even if the shrinkage rate is high. The reinforced part which can prevent the generation of the microcracks in the optical fibers 12 and the cracks from the boundary end part 13 is thus easily formed.
