PURPOSE:To obtain a speedometer of reduced error and of excellent practical use, by calculating displacement speed and distance by a stored speed constant and measured time for each full-stride. CONSTITUTION:When the standard full-stride length is assumed as P0 and time required for displacement of P0 as T0, P0 X T0 = constant according to the law of inverse proportion and consequently, the actual full-stride length P and time T required for the full-stride becomes P X T = constant and P = P0 X(T0/T). This equation is available for determination of unmeasureable P with T0/T basing upon the standard P0 and by this equation the full-stride length P can really be obtained. Time required T0 for displacing the full-stride length P0 can be calculated by displacing a known distance with a walking speed to be measured or mean speed for walking and measuring number of full-strides and time required for above.
