PURPOSE:To uniformly polish even an eccentric workpiece and enable rotation and revolution at desired speeds by supporting a workpiece obliquely to the center line of a polishing vessel, making said workpiece rotate and revolve in an abrasive, and separately interlocking a supporting shaft and a cylindrical bearing with motors. CONSTITUTION:An outer bearing 4 is fixed to the top of a liftable supporting table 2, a cylindrical bearing is rotatably installed longitudinally inside the outer bearing 4, and a supporting shaft 6 for a workpiece 5 is obliquely inserted into it and rotatably supported. A motor 19 for rotating the supporting shaft 6 is provided in parallel with the shaft 6 while a motor 28 for rotating the pulley 31 of the cylindrical bearing is longitudinally provided via the bracket 27 of the supporting table 2. Accordingly, since the workpiece 5 is supported obliquely to the center line of a polishing vessel 23 and made rotate and revolve in an abrasive, even an eccentric workpiece can be uniformly polished. Also, since the workpiece 5 is fixed to the supporting shaft 6 while the supporting shaft 6 and the cylindrical bearing are interlocked with separate motors, the workpiece 5 can be rotated and revolved at desired speeds. |
