PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for an instrument made of a special material and to measure an antigen or antibody in a short period by bringing the antigen, antibody and complement constituting component conjugated labeled matter into reaction in a suspended or dissolved state. CONSTITUTION:The antigen or antibody is measured by bringing the antigen, antibody and the complement constituting component conjugated the labeled matter into reaction in the suspended or dissolved state, then removing the unconjugated matter and quantitatively determining the conjugated labeled matter. Since the antigen, antibody and the complement constituting component conjugated with the labeled matter are brought into reaction in the suspended or dissolved state, the use of a vessel made of the special material having good adsorptivity for fixing the antigen, etc., is not always required. The conjugate formed after the reaction of the antigen, antibody and the labeled complement constituting component is separated. The excessive labeled complement constituting component failing to be brought into the reaction and the materials which act disturbingly in the subsequent process are removed by such operation.
