PURPOSE:To increase information on an angle of rotation and to improve response by generating a rotational angle signal at constant phase intervals according to the value of a sine wave from a sine wave output type encoder. CONSTITUTION:The sine wave output type encoder is used as a rotational angle sensor 1. An angle signal generator 2 generates the angle signal every time the value of the sine wave from the rotational angle sensor 1 coincides with one of plural predetermined specific values. Consequently, the number of pieces of information on the angle of rotation are increased and the increased number of angle signals is measured by a counter 3 with sampling pulses with a specific period.
