PURPOSE:To enable rapid measurement and high speed response, by forming a loop circuit on a self-exciting oscillation system by providing a voltage stabilizing means to a quartz vibrator and a phase shifting means setting optimum phase shifting quantity. CONSTITUTION:A voltage stabilizing means 3 corresponds to an inputted AC signal and supplies a constant voltage AC signal V0 made constant in its amplitude to a quartz vibrator 2 arranged in gas. the output AC current I1 of the vibrator 2 is converted to voltage V1 by a current/voltage converting means 4. A phase shifting means 6 sets phase shift quantity, making the impedance value of the vibrator 2 min. in a resonance state or bringing the same to the vicinity of the min. value, to voltage V1 and supplies the set AC signal V2 to the means 3. A loop circuit for self-exciting oscillation is constituted of the means 3, 4, 6. An output means 5 outputs the voltage V1 to the outside corresponding to the pressure of gas. By the above mentioned constitution, various defects intrinsic to a gas pressure gauge of a separately-excited oscillation system can be eliminated and a stand-by time becomes unnecessary and rapid measurement is enabled.
