PURPOSE:To improve static strength and low-cycle fatigue strength, by constituting the part other than stress concentration regions of a metal-base composite material and also constituting the parts with discontinuous shapes to be stress concentration regions of a matrix metal or of a metal-base composite material reduced in the volume percentage of reinforcement. CONSTITUTION:Engaging holes 12, 13 are provided to the vicinities of both ends of a structure to be subjected to dynamic or static loading, for example, link arm 11. In this link arm 11, the part to be the stress concentration regions, that is, cylindrical parts 14, 15 enclosing the fit holes 12, 13 are composed of aluminum alloy, by which a high-ductility material can be applied to the regions in which the highest stress is established due to stress concentration. The main part of the link arm 11 outside these cylindrical parts 14, 15 is composed of high-strength and high-hardness metal-base composite material reduced in elongation, for example, SiC-strengthened aluminum alloy.
