PURPOSE:To take a measurement under the best conditions by varying the cutoff frequency and sampling time intervals of a low-pass filter automatically according to the number of rotation and the number of sampling points. CONSTITUTION:A detecting circuit 2 detects vibrations of a rotary vibrator 1 to analyze the frequency. The number (n) of rotation of the vibrator 1, on the other hand, is detected by a detecting circuit 7 and multiplied by the number S of sampling points through a multiplying circuit 13 to find the sampling frequency fS. The frequency fS is multiplied by (c) through a cutoff frequency circuit 4 to obtain the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter 3 and a sampling interval time circuit 8 calculates 1/fS to obtain the sampling interval time. A multiplying circuit 9 multiplies the number (n) of rotation by a specific number (m) to determine the maximum object frequency and a frequency analyzing circuit body 10 performs a frequency analyzing process based upon those values, so that the result is displayed on a display part 12.
