PURPOSE:To make assembling work ever so easy, by clamping a belted pulley to the assembling jig side, and assembling the whole pulley to an engine at the time of assembling a timing belt to each pulley of a crankshaft and a camshaft. CONSTITUTION:When a crankshaft 5 and a cam shaft 4 are connected together with a timing belt, set members 10 and 11 provided with shafts 10b and 11b in opposition to each shaft are set up in the upper part of a jig 1. A camshaft pulley 8 and a crankshaft pulley 9 are installed in each tip of these shafts 10b and 11b, and a dummy pulley 12 is installed in opposition to an auxiliary pulley 6. A timing belt 13 is being stretched across each pulley in advance, making the jig 1 come nearer to the side of an engine 2, and each end face between the camshaft 4 and the shaft 10b as well as between the crankshaft 5 and the shaft 11b is made contact with each other, each of these pulleys 8 and 9 is fitted in the camshaft 4 and the crankshaft 5, then the belt 13 on the dummy pulley 12 is extruded to the circumference of the auxiliary pulley 6 by an extruding device, thus assembling is over. |
