<p>PURPOSE:To perform filter generation in a short time, by reducing a fuel supply to a burner as long as the specified time at a time when a filter reaches such temperature as being just before a particulate starts its sudden combustion at time of filter combustion. CONSTITUTION:There is provided with a burner 14 which regenerates the filter 13 installed in an exhaust pipe 12. At the time of operation of the burner, temperature in the filter 13 is detected by a sensor 15. When the filter 13 is reached to temperature, for example, 500 deg.C just before the temperature that a particulate starts its sudden combustion, a fuel supply to the burner 14 is reduced as long as the specified time by an injector 19. With this constitution, the filter is regenerable in a short time without any damage to it.</p> |
