PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic sensitive material for a direct positive having a stable photographic characteristic even when the conventional developing soln. is used by providing at least one layer contg. benzotriazoles on a base on the side opposite from a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The photographic sensitive material for the direct positive has at least one internal latent image type silver halide emulsion layer contg. core/shell type silver halide particles consisting of the inside core of the silver halide subjected to doping of metallic ions or chemical sensitizing or both treatments thereof and the outside shell covering at least the photosensitive site of the inside shell and binder on one side on the base. Said material has at least one layer contg. the benzotriazole on the base on the side opposite from the silver halide emulsion layer. The stable photographic characteristic is thus obtd. even if the conventional developing soln. is used in a running process by an automatic developing machine.
