发明名称 METHOD FOR CORRECTING GRINDING WHEEL IN NUMERICALLY CONTROLLED GRINDING MACHINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate a step on a grinding surface caused by the wear of a correcting tool bit by correcting the grinding face of a grinding wheel with one of two correcting tools which have a step between the tool bits and, then, shifting the relative position of said grinding wheel with respect to the other correcting tool by a defined amount from a theoretical value. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical grinding face Ga, and circular arc shaped grinding faces GL, GR are formed on the grinding face of a grinding wheel which travels in the direction of the X axis perpendicular to a main spindle axis Os, to grind the various faces of a workpiece W. Correcting tools DR, DL are provided on a workpiece table 13, and the DL is more projected toward the grinding wheel side than the DR providing a step. After grinding the workpiece with the grinding wheel, the wheel is retracted in a defined position and, then, the grinding faces Ga, GL of the wheel is correctingly ground by the correcting tool DL and, after that, by advancing the wheel by a defined amount, the grinding face GR is ground and corrected by the correcting tool DR. These actions are carried out by numerical control. However, when the correcting tools are worn, the gap between the bits of the tools DL, DR gets shorter. Accordingly, since a step is produced on the grinding face of the grinding wheel with only the initial theoretical value, the advance of the grinding wheel is corrected by adding a correcting value to the theoretical value, to eliminate the step.
