PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and increase the dynamic range by expanding the displacement of a piezo-electric device by the principle of lever using a hinge section as a fulcrum in an fuel injection valve of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A displacement expanding structure section 2 is provided in a body 1 via a seal 3. A piezo-electric device actuator 4 is clamped by the base face 5 of the displacement expanding structure section 2 and the side face 7 of a protruded section 6. A hinge section A serves to prevent the piezo-electric device actuator 4 from being broken when it falls. The hinge section B serves as a fulcrum for a lever. An end section C is coupled with a valve movable section 9. When the voltage is applied to the piezo-electric device 4, the hinge section A is pushed in the arrow direction. the displacement of the hinge section A is expanded using the hinge section B as a fulcrum, the end section C is shifted in the arrow direction, the valve movable section 9 is displaced, and fuel is injected. Accordingly, not only a small piezo-electric device can be utilized, but also the dynamic range can be increased.
