PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of construction work by a method in which an earth anchor is formed by mainly using high-tensile, high-elastic fibres with portion passing through the bottom slab as an unbond portion and lower portion of a slab as a bond portion, having the lower end portion provided with higher bonding strength than the upper end portion. CONSTITUTION:An earth anchor 3 made primarily of high-tensile, high-elastic fibres is erected under the ground 1 through the bottom slab 2 of an underground structure settled in the ground 1 on which the buoyancy of groundwater acts. A filler 6 is packed into a fixed recession 5 drilled in the upper layer of the slab 2 for fixation. An unbond portion 8 is formed for the piercing portion of the slab 2, and a bond portion 10 is also formed by fixing the earth anchor 3 at the lower portion of the slab 2 to the cement-fixed portion 9 packed. A bearing plate 11 is attached to the lower end of the anchor 3 so that the lower end portion has greater bonding strength than the upper end portion. The earth anchor can thus withstand high tensional forces and keep its strength for long periods.
