PURPOSE:To form a rigid ceramic film on the surface of an Al product by mixing ceramics to be thermally plasma-sprayed such as Al2O3 with magnetized iron powder, plasma-spraying the mixture on the surface of the Al product and further plasma-spraying ceramics to be plasma-sprayed on the resulting film according to the purpose for which the Al product is used. CONSTITUTION:Ceramics to be thermally plasma-sprayed such as Al2O3 or Al2O3-base ceramics is mixed with a proper amount of magnetized iron or iron oxide powder and the mixture is plasma-sprayed on the surface of an Al product to form a film. Ceramics to be plasma-sprayed such as Al2O3-TiO2 is further plasma-sprayed on the film according to the purpose for which the Al product is used. The preferred amount of the magnetized iron or iron oxide powder mixed is about 5-30wt%. |
