<p>PURPOSE:To prevent meanderings of a rolled plate stock and to improve the productivity by detecting a meandering amount based on a difference between respective rolling forces of the working and driving sides of the precedent stand and adjusting a screw down ratio difference by actuating respective roll gaps of the working and driving sides in an opposite direction to each other. CONSTITUTION:Occurrence of meanderings at the precedent stage A in rolling of a stock 1 to be rolled causes a rolling force in the side which the stock approaches to increase and a rolling force in the opposite side to decrease and the rolling reaction against those rolling forces is detected by a working side load detector 10 and a driving side load detector 11. A meandering amount calculator 18 calculates the meandering direction and meandering amounts of the stock 1 based on a difference between both the reactions. A shift register 19 supplies signals from the calculator 18 to a meandering control adjuster 20. The adjuster 20 actuates respective roll gaps of the working and driving sides of a stand B in an opposite direction to each other and instructs hydraulic screw down controllers 21 and 22 to generate target signals SOW (a roll gap in the working side) and SOD (a roll gap in the driving side).</p> |
