发明名称 FOUR WHEEL STEERING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to anticipate a change in the behavior of a vehicle in association with a change in rear wheel steering ratio in order to enhance the stability of the vehicle during transition of the change, by controlling the speed of change in rear wheel steering ratio at a constant value irrespective of the value of speed of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:In an arrangement in which the ratio of rear wheel steering is controlled in accordance with the speed of a vehicle, there are provided an acceleration detecting means 1 for detecting an acceleration of the vehicle and a limiting means 2 for limiting the speed of change in rear wheel steering ratio. Further, there is provided a limiting value regulating means 3 receiving a signal from the acceleration detecting means 1, for setting the limiting value by the limiting means so that it is larger when the acceleration is large than when the acceleration is small, to maintain the speed of change in wheel steering ratio constant, irrespective of the value of acceleration of the vehicle. Thereby, it is possible to sustain the speed of change in rear wheel steering ratio substantially constant irrespective of the value of change in vehicle speed so that anticipation may be made for a change in the behavior of the vehicle in accordance with the rear wheel steering ratio, thereby it is possible to enhance the stability of the vehicle.
