PURPOSE:To improve a recording characteristic and a recording efficiency by a construction wherein a member having excellent heat conductivity is provided corresponding to a heating element of a thermal head so that a heat generated in the heating element of the thermal head can be conducted easily to a surface portion. CONSTITUTION:A glaze layer 2, a heating resistance element 3, electrodes 4 and a protecting film 5 are provided on a ceramic substrate 1. Members 6 excellent in heat conductivity, projecting above the heating resistance element 3 between the electrodes 4, are provided on the heating resistance element 3, a heating element, in a substantially uniform rate and in substantially identical height, forming a construction fitted particularly for binary recording of characters etc. According to this construction, a heat generated in the heating element of the heating resistance element 3 between the electrodes 4 is conducted excellently onto the surface side through the members 6 excellent in heat conductivity, melting and sublimating the ink of transfer paper smoothly, and thus a recording characteristic is improved. |
