PURPOSE:To facilitate the maintenance and assembling operations of parts inside the device as well as jamming handling by using a constitution dividable into an upper body and a lower body at a platen as the center for opening. CONSTITUTION:A device body consists of an upper body 1 and a lower body which are vertically divided and a base plate 3, and a platen 4 is pivotally supported on the central part of the joint face of both the bodies 1 and 2. A rib frame 6 is provided on the peripheries of the front walls 1a and 2a of both the bodies 1 and 2, and various transmission mechanisms and control mechanism are set in the space surrounded by the frame 6 and the base plate 3. A semi-circular platen shaft supporting recession 2c is formed on the center of the lower body 2, and a ribbon cassette 8 is inserted into the hole 1e. By opening part of the periphery of the platen roller, the corresponding portions of a paper supply and discharge mechanism, thermal head, control system and transmission system are exposed, making maintenance and assembling operations easier. |
