PURPOSE:To attempt a reduction in weight as well as high slidability by providing a circular rolling member in one side section between an upper rail and a lower rail whereby providing respective locking sections facing each other in the other side between the upper and lower rails. CONSTITUTION:A seat sliding device is composed of a lower rail 13 fixed on the floor of a vehicle dody, and an upper rail 14 which is so secured as to be slidable to the longer direction by way of a circular rolling member such as a roller and the like. In this case, the lower rail1 13 is formed into an approximate U shaped cross section, and a hook section 15 which is bent to the side wall side 13b, is provided as a lower side locking section on the upper end of its side wall 13a. And the upper rail 14 includes a pair of rail plates 19 and 20 which are welded at their upper ends, and a hook section 21 is provided to the lower end section of the rail plate 19 as an upper locking section. And a rolling member is provided among the channel section 2 which is a part of the upper rail 14, the side wall 13b which is a part of the lower rail 13, and a flange 16. |
