PURPOSE:To prevent stains on the white background, especially, stains due to light and time lapse, and to obtain a color image high in density and small in fog by incorporating a specified reducing agent. CONSTITUTION:The photographic constituent layer containing at least photosensitive silver halide, the reducing agent, a dye donor, and a binder is formed on a support to compose the heat-developable color photosensitive layer. Said reducing agent is represented by the formula shown on the right in which R1 is alkyl; each of R2, R3, and R4 is H, halogen, OH, alkoxy, acylamino, sulfonamide, alkylsulfonamide, or alkyl; each of R5 and R6 is H or alkyl, but each of R3 and R5, R2 and R6, and, R5 and R6 may form a hetero ring; M is H, an alkali or alkaline earth metal atom, ammonium, or an N-containing organic base; and m is 1 or 2. Such a reducing agent can be obtained in general by converting the N,N-disubstituent of m-alkoxyaniline into nitroso-, nitro-, or diazo-product, then, subjecting it to the following reducing process to synthesize 4-N,N-disubstituted 2-alkoxyaniline, and further, reacting it with chlorosulfurinc acid, and when needed, with various kinds of bases. The reducing agent is commonly used in an amount of 0.01-1,500mol%, preferably, 0.1-200mol% of the photosensitive silver halide. |
