PURPOSE:To obtain a caulking compsn. having excellent plastic deformability and no stickiness, by adding a specified wt. ratio of an oil, an inorg. powder and a vinyl chloride resin to a phthalate plasticizer, mixing them under heating and melting and cooling thereafter the mixture to solidify. CONSTITUTION:30-80pts.wt. oil (e.g.: machine oil or edible oil), 20-70pts.wt. inorg. powder (e.g.: calcium carbonate or calcium silicate) and 3-20pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin are added to 100pts.wt. phthalate plasticizer (e.g.: dioctyl phthalate or dibutyl phthalate) and, if necessary, a stabilizer, a pigment and so on are further added thereto. The mixture is heated and molten to be mixed homogeneously and thereafter cooled and solidified to obtain an aimed caulking compsn., which has an enough plastic deformability as a caulking material and no stickiness and is therefore easy to handle. Moreover, it has high heat resistance and does not flow at higher temp. in a short time. It is preferably used for a sealing material and the like.
