PURPOSE:To reflect radiant heat from a plate stock, to reduce radiant heat from the stock, and to equalize a temp. of respective parts of the stock by constructing at least one part of the bottom, side, and top surfaces facing to the stock of a reflecting plate consisting of mirror surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A plate stock is carried by a couple of chains; the bottom is made of a mirror finished plate and a guide synchronously acting with the chain is set on the sides. The stock is heated and rolled; the radiant heat from the stock is reflected and given back to the stock so that the radiant heat from the stock is reduced and the temp. of respective parts of the stock is maintained to be equal. In that method, uniform rolling is performable and uneven plate thicknesses, cambers, and deformations are prevented.
