PURPOSE:To enable a seat cushion to adjust in height so as to obtain a proper seating attitude continuously by supporting a lower bracket for a seat cushion on a floor member of an automobile by way of link members so s to be elevated as required whereby adjusting the height of a seat cushion by a step of rotating the link by means of a adjusting device. CONSTITUTION:A right and a left upper bracket 1 supporting a seat cushion 2 are connected with a pair of side members 6 using links 7 and 7' which are located back and forth respectively. One link 7 is formed into a bell crank shape, and is connected with the output section of a stationary spring coupler 8 of the lower bracket 1 at its one end by way of a cam plate 9 and an arm 13. And the other arm 7' is pivotally secured directly on the lower bracket 1. In this case, the rotation of the cam plate 9 to the right direction 7 to rotate to the left direction for enabling the lower bracket 1 to be raised up with an aid of the energy of a torsion spring 11.
