PURPOSE:To smoothly detach a gear engaged with the gear of a tape take-up reel by using together a spring-like member with a hook member provided in a head holding member. CONSTITUTION:In a recording state, a gear 5 which has a rotation center 6 in an arm-like member 3 is engaged with gears 7 and 9 in a proper pressing power, and by the abutment of a pinch roller 10 and a capstan 11, a tape 13 comes in a normal recording state. Then, the head holding member 1 shifts to a stopped state, so a spring-like member 16 pushes down the member 3 and at the same time a hook part 17 in the holding member 1 acts as pushing down the member 3. Thus, the gear 5 can be detached from the gear 9 by the use of two functions.
