PURPOSE:To suppose the extent of oscillation in a microwave tube as well as to aim at its operational stabilization, by installing a ferrite bead core on the core wire of a grid lead wire in a metallic case. CONSTITUTION:Twelve manganese-zinc ferrite bead cores are loaded on a grid lead wire 10 in a case 6, for exmaple. Coupling between a grid lead wire 12 and a collector lead wire 19 on an equaivalent circuit is represented as a stray capacity 21, forming a resonance circuit together with each inductance of these lead wires 12 and 19. In this traveling-wave tube, the manganese-zinc ferrite bead cores 11 loaded on the core wire 10 of the grid lead wire have an inherent property showing a high impedance characteristic at 10-100 MHz, whereby it acts so as to cause Q of this resonance circuit to be effectively lowered, thus oscillation in the traveling-wave tube can be fully suppressed.
