PURPOSE:To attain the reference and selection of homonyms in a sentence production mode by supplying the KANJI (Chinese characters) words to be converted, using these input words to detect homonyms and delivering successively these homonyms by the requests of a user. CONSTITUTION:The input character strings and control codes received from an input part 2 are sent to a KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI converter 8 and then converted into KANA-KANJI character strings with the retrieval of a language dictionary 9. A homonym dictionary 13 is retrieved by a homonym retrieving part 12 against the stem parts of the words received at an object word information input part 11. The homonym candidates are stored in a homonym store part 14 and the homonyms are selected by a paragraph candidate selecting part 3. Thus the final result is delivered.
