PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce a load on an operator, by checking automatically an input data required for a profile control, displaying the fact that the presence of an error when the error exists on a display, and detecting automatically the error in the input data of a profile control device. CONSTITUTION:The operator inputs the data in a working memory 26 from a keyboard 21. An inputted data is displayed at the data content area 48 of a display 22 corresponding to the type of the data. And a check whether the inputted data is the one enough to be set, the check whether a value between a +X limit and the inverse of X limit, or the value between a +Y limit and the inverse of Y limit in a profile limits + or -X, and + or -Y, is positioned adversely, the check whether the value between the +X limit and the inverse of X limit, or the value between the +Y limit and the inverse of Y limit, approaches, and the check whether a selecting condition between a profile mode and functions A-C, and the selecting condition between the functions A-C, are satisfied, are performed.
