PURPOSE:To remarkably simplify device constitution, by substituting a display control element and several circuit elements at the periphery of the element for the function of an image memory controller. CONSTITUTION:The function of the image memory controller in a printer control device can be realized by a CRTC4, and several circuit elements (a data bus buffer 11, an address bus buffer 12, and an address bus buffer 13). In such a way, the constitution of the device can be simplified, thereby, reliability for the device can be improved, and the device is miniaturized at low cost, and power consumption is reduced. Also by providing the CRTC4 within the printer control device, a CRT monitor can be added easily.
