PURPOSE:To attain quick correction even when a bit error takes place in a digital value stored in a register by adding a bit error correction circuit correcting the bit error automatically to a register storing tentatively the digital value. CONSTITUTION:An error correction code generated based on a data written at first by an error correction code generating section 32 is stored in a storage section 33. Then a digital data stored in a register l is read at any time by a register content read section 31. Then a comparison sectoin 34 compares the data with an error correction data stored in the section 33, then whether or not a bit error takes place is discriminated. If a bit error takes place, and when the bit error rate is small, the bit error is corrected automatically based on the error correction code. When the bit error rate is large and it is not corrected automatically, an alarm is raised to a CPU to urge the processing such as re-loading.
