PURPOSE:To obtain similar cooling characteristics even in the air as in oil by a structure wherein a resistance belt is immediately cooled by the rotation of an impeller at every change operation of taps. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 1 is driven and rotated, a spring 9 is compressed between a board 3 and a table 7, definite energy is accumulated, a catch mechanism is removed and the table 7 is moved. In these operations, a switching crank 13 is rotated and a current is interrupted by the operation of a breaking equipment. While the table 7 is operated, the projection 16 of the table 7 collides with the pin 15 of an impeller 14 and the impeller 14 is rotated. The impeller 14 moves a gas downwards by its moment of inertia using the boss of the crank 13 as a fulcrum and continues to cool a current-limitting resistor R heated at the time of interrupting the current to decrease its temperature to one. This structure enables changing taps at the time of loading even in the air as in oil.
