PURPOSE:To reduce a mis-input, by setting a click deciding reference time corresponding to the changing trend of a click time, such as the individual skill, cleverness, fatigue of a mouse user. CONSTITUTION:At a click detecting part 3, the depressing time (click operating time) and the separating time (click interval time) of a push button 1 is detected by the timing of a clock signal received from a clock generating means 4', and the number of clicks are judged. A click flag register 4 outputs the number of clicks to an arithmetic control unit (CPU)5. The CPU5 finds the probability frequencies of the click operating time and the click interval time stored at a click time storing register 7 and a RAM8, according to an arithmetic program stored at a ROM6, and calculates the click operation reference time and a click interval reference time to decide the number of clicks. A calculated reference time of a click operation and a click interval are stored at a click reference time storing register 9.
