PURPOSE:To make it possible to enhance the reliability of a system, by combining a breaker and a diode bridge circuit so that both power running current and recovery current flow through the above-mentioned breaker alone, and by preventing a section-over phenomenon upon grounding accident in a trolley line. CONSTITUTION:When power running current is fed to trolley lines 9a-9f, or when recovery current generated in each trolley line is controlled, control may be made by using only thyristor breakers 23, 43, 51 and diode series circuits 60, 70. Further, when the breakers 23, 43, 53 are opened, both power running current and recovery current may be cut off, and further, it is possible to cope with an accident in a power running current bus and a recovery current bus by cutting off the breakers. Further, since the breaker 53 is connected to the trolley lines 9c, 9f, even when a grounding accident occurs in the trolley lines 9a, 9b, 9d, 9e, it is possible to prevent a section-over phenomenon by opening the breaker 53 together with a breaker in the accident line.
