PURPOSE:To place a seat belt on the shoulder of a passenger always in an optimum state, by a method wherein a driving means, longitudinally driving a moving anchor, is mounted to a car body, and a control means is provided for driving the driving means by a given distance through detection of the state of the seat belt, supported to the moving anchor, and a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 35 of a control means detects the state of a west shoulder continuous seat belt 27 and a vehicle to actuate a driving means (motor) 22, and longitudinally slides and displaces a slider 18 by a given distance. This displacement causes displacement of a moving anchor 25 by a given distance. Thus, according to vehicle states, e.g., running of an engine, the longitudinal position of a seat 16, the state of a transmission, and other like conditions, the longitudinal position of the slider 18 is adjusted. This constitution causes displacement of the upper part of the seat belt 27 to a preferable position if the seat belt 27 is previously set so that the seat belt is brought into an optimum state responding to the motion of a passenger 39. |
