PURPOSE:To improve accuracy of current detection and to reduce influence due to variation of characteristics of parts, by a method wherein a current detecting circuit is constituted by a voltage doubler rectifier circuit composed of diodes and capacitors. CONSTITUTION:Current flowing in a switching transistor 6 is detected by a current detecting circuit 22 through a current transformer 8, and the output is supplied to a pulse width control circuit 4 and the switching transistor 6 is ON/OFF controlled. A capacitor 20 and a diode 21 are installed in the current detecting circuit 22, and real value of secondary winding output of the current transformer 8 to collector current of the transistor 6 and detection voltage of the current detecting circuit 22 are made nearly equal.
